[AlertDC] The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will implement temporary lane closures on the I-395 HOV Bridge for concrete deck replacement work. All work is weather dependent.
Northbound I-395 HOV Bridge
I-395 NB HOV Right Lane and I-395 NB Exit-Ramp Closure:
From 9:30AM to 3PM, Monday, August 17, 2026, the Department will close the right thru-lane ramp on Northbound I-395 HOV bridge across the Potomac River and the associated exit ramp to I-395 NB, with a detour to 14th Street, for concrete deck replacement work.
Southbound I-395 HOV Bridge
I-395 SB HOV Left Lane and 14th Street I-395 HOV On-Ramp Closure:
From 7AM to 7PM, Monday, August 17, through Thursday, August 20, 2026, the Department will close the left thru-lane of the I-395 HOV Bridge across the Potomac River, along with the associated on-ramp from 14th Street, to perform milling and hydro demolition work.
The same lane and ramp will also be closed from 7AM to 12PM on Friday, August 21, 2026, for milling and hydro-demolition operations.
