[AlertDC] The District Department of Transportation (DDOT), in coordination with the Virginia Passenger Rail Authority (VPRA), will implement a temporary closure of the ramp from northbound 14th Street to eastbound Maine Avenue as part of construction activities for the Long Bridge Project.
The closure will occur Monday, June 1, through Friday, June 5, 2026, between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., during off-peak hours, weather permitting. The temporary ramp closure will allow construction personnel to install safety handrails along the CSX retaining wall.
For the 14th Street ramp closure to Maine Avenue, motorists will be directed via a signed detour to continue north on 14th Street, turn east on C Street, then south on 12th Street, and then directed to eastbound Maine Avenue SW.
