Subject: [AlertDC] [HSEMA Alert] Traffic Advisory: First Amendment Activity (November 22)

Details: [AlertDC] On Saturday, November 22, 2025, there are multiple First Amendment activities occurring within the District of Columbia. In conjunction with these events, there will be parking restrictions and street closures that motorists should take into consideration. Further the Metropolitan Police Department would like to remind motorists and pedestrians of increased activity in the downtown area. On Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the following street will be posted as Emergency No Parking: • 7th Street from Constitution Avenue, NW to Independence Avenue, SW On Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the following streets may experience temporary street closures: • 17th Street from Constitution Avenue, NW to Independence Avenue, SW • Constitution Avenue from 17th Street, NW to 7th Street, NW • 7th Street from Constitution Avenue, NW to Independence Avenue, SW While the Metropolitan Police Department does not anticipate additional street closures, there is the potential for intermittent closures in the downtown area of the District of Columbia. Any decision to close a street will be based upon public safety. The public is also reminded of other special events in the District which have parking restrictions and road closures to include the Howard University football game at Audi Field and sporting events at Capital One Arena.
